NEO obtient la certification Origine France Garantie pour ses sacs à dos et sellettes de parapente

Founded in 2013 by Éric Roussel, NEO has been committed to local, responsible manufacturing from the outset, from its workshop on the shores of Lake Annecy. Savoie Mont Blanc Excellence* accredited, the brand has gradually established itself as a recognized player in paragliding equipment. Building on its expertise, NEO has broadened its field of activity by launching a range of technical backpacks in 2022.

NEO sets itself apart by being the only company to manufacture technical backpacks in France, a distinction that testifies to a strong commitment to maintaining and promoting local know-how. This commitment has now been rewarded with the prestigious “Origine France Garantie” certification, awarded at the tradeshow “Made in France”. This certification, the only one to guarantee the French origin of products, has been awarded to two ranges: backpacks and paragliding harnesses.

*Savoie Mont Blanc Excellence is a shared brand that symbolizes a state of mind and commitments of all the companies (legal entities located in the departments of Savoie and Haute-Savoie) that support it and make it shine.

“Obtaining this certification is a source of immense pride for our team and recognition of the work accomplished to promote high-quality local manufacturing. It is also a token of confidence for our customers, who can be assured of purchasing products made in France, with all the care and requirements that this implies.”
Eric Roussel, founder of NEO.

NEO Certification Origine France Garantie

A clear certification to guarantee product traceability.

Created in 2011, the “Origine France Garantie” certification aims to defend and promote products made in France. It helps consumers make the right choices by providing clear, transparent information on the origin of products. It is still the only universal certification guaranteeing the French origin of products, thanks to an audit carried out by independent certification bodies. Its high standards set it apart from “Made in France”.

To obtain the certification, two cumulative criteria must be met:

  • 50 % to 100 % of the unit cost price of the product must be acquired in France,
  • the product must take on its essential characteristics in France (i.e. all the processing stages must be carried out on the territory)
