An experienced mountaineer and mountain guide, Christophe has been devoting himself to paragliding for the past 7 years. Combining major ascents, approaches and aerial descents, he sees it as the future of Alpine and Himalayan innovations. A passionate mountaineer and paragliding enthusiast, Christophe lives and works in Annecy, and it was only natural that he should join NEO, bridging the gap between his two passions.

Christophe grew up with a backpack from an early age. He discovered hang-gliding, but above all the mountains, skiing and mountaineering alongside his parents, who propelled him to over 4,000 meters before he was 10. Later, he joined the regional teams of the FFCAM (FĂ©dĂ©ration Française d’Alpinisme), then the national teams of the FFME (FĂ©dĂ©ration Française d’Escalade). At the same time, in the 2000s, he completed some landmark routes in the Mont-Blanc massif: the north face of the Grandes Jorasses, the Freney pillar and the south face of Mont-Blanc. The desire to explore and the need to tackle some of the world’s most prestigious faces led him on expeditions to the four corners of the globe: Peru, Norway, China, Alaska, Nepal, Chile, Tibet and Patagonia. Later, concerned to reduce his environmental impact, he concentrated on what was to become his trademark: alpine traverses. Journeys lasting several days, freed from the constraints of the metre and the second, but more focused on the logic of the terrain, geological continuity, historical significance or simply the poetic reinterpretation of a map or landscape. Some of these adventures have given rise to films such as “Le MĂ©ridien des Écrins”, “Sur le fil de l’amitiĂ©â€, “Inside” and “La Voie Bonatti”.
Today, on the strength of this experience, Christophe is one of the few guides capable of accompanying his clients on the most challenging faces in the Alps: the North faces of the Droites, the Grandes Jorasses, the Matterhorn or the Eiger, as well as giving captivating conferences. Tomorrow, he hopes to approach and climb the Alpine and Himalayan giants from the air.

To meet its challenges in the air and on the ground, NEO supports it and continues to mobilize its teams around excellence and innovation.
